So... SonAmy fans. Answer me this question and tell NO lies. Do you hate Sally Acorn? Blaze the Cat? Princess Elise? Fiona Fox? Mina Mongoose? Or one or more of the above? Why do you hate them?

Do you hate Sally because "she's naked"? Or because she "stole Sonic from Amy"? Or because "she is a slut"? Or because "she slapped Sonic"? Do you hate Blaze because "she stole Sonic from Amy"? Because "she tried to kiss Sonic"? Do you hate Elise because "she stole Sonic from Amy"? Because "she kissed Sonic"? Because "she's a human"?

Now let's think for a minute. What if Sally was not naked at all? What if she wore clothes, did not slap Sonic yet still liked him in that way? Would you like her then? What if Blaze didn't hold out her hand to shake Sonic's (SHE DIDN'T TRY TO KISS HIM ) but still showed a great deal of friendship and admiration towards him? Would you like her then? What if Elise didn't save Sonic's life (THEN HE WOULD REMAIN DEAD D: ), didn't kiss him but still has feelings for Sonic? Would you like her then?

For the majority of you, I highly doubt it. You see, I think the whole "Sally's naked", "Blaze is a whore", "Mina's a spoilt brat", "Elise is human" and "Fiona is a bitch" reasons are nothing more than excuses. Excuses, excuses. Some of you might genuinely mean it by hating them for that reason. Some of you probably use it as an excuse to cover up the fact that you hate those girls just because they "interfere" with SonAmy, a couple which isn't even canon and most probably never will be (accept it; I have). I'm usually against stereotyping but this is just what I believe here. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Let's see... Sally. She was around near enough the same time as Amy's introduction to the series. Possibly even before. From what I know Archie was out in 1993 or something around that time. Sonic CD was out in 1993 as well. Amy didn't exist in SatAM either, so the whole SonSal thing there was not and would never have interfered with your precious SonAmy. And a lot of people bring up the fact that Sally slapped Sonic; watch the ending of the Hero story in Sonic Riders; Amy actually tries to hit Sonic with her hammer. Now, tell me, SonAmy fans, what hurts more? A big hammer or a little slap? And no, by that I don't mean grabbing a big hammer and whacking yourself in the face with it, just be logical. What WOULD hurt more?

The big hammer. No two ways about it. It can be filled with air and it probably would still hurt more than a slap. Also, Sally slapped Sonic out of emotion; she didn't want him to die again. I take it none of you would want YOUR loved ones to die or be harmed. Sally is exactly the same and only hit him for that reason. It was almost like Sonic wasn't considering HER feelings on the matter. Amy, on the other hand, tried to hit Sonic with the hammer because he did something she didn't like. It wasn't really out of emotion but out of temper. Yet you SonAmy fans dismiss Amy's attitude there, claiming it's cute, yet put Sally down for having an emotional moment. Don't you just LOVE hypocrisy?

I could rant on for ages and ages about Sally but it would take up too much time and you might get bored of reading this. So onto Blaze, another bashed female by SonAmy fans. She's bashed to a lesser extent since her portrayal in next-gen which suggested the Silver/Blaze pairing (And after all, Silver/Blaze doesn't "interfere" with SonAmy does it?) but there's still little bits of it around. People claim Blaze tried to kiss/kissed Sonic at the end of Sonic Rush. People, it was a rumour and an untrue one at that. You want proof? Here is the actual ending of Sonic Rush: [link]

Blaze didn't kiss Sonic. In your faces. You fell for an untrue rumour and hated a character for something she NEVER did. She only went to shake his hand. They're friends. Can't a guy and a girl be friends without people assuming they're dating? Lots of guys are just friends with girls and vice versa. Same here with Blaze and Sonic. The whole relationship between them was ENTIRELY speculative. Fans could make up their own minds about them and it doesn't look like Sega will develop it further judging by the ending of Silver's story in next-gen.

Now for Elise. She's barely been around five minutes and fans are already hating her and why? Because she kissed Sonic. I won't deny it. She DID kiss Sonic. Why? To save his life. Not because she wanted to do any romantic activity (HE WAS DEAD ), not because she wanted a lovey-dovey moment. Because she wanted to bring him back to life. Jeez, people were bashing her before next-gen even WAS RELEASED which goes to show how sad some of you SonAmy fans are (if you bashed her before next-gen's release).

Yes, she's human. Clever of you to establish that. But saying she can't have feelings for Sonic purely because of her species is like saying a black person can't marry a white person. It's very racist in my opinion. :/

A lot of SonAmy fans are apparently whining about her, saying that Sonic should be loving Amy and not Elise. Er... hello? TOO LATE FOR THAT. Though there were elements that Sonic might have cared for Amy too because [link] suggested it. There. See? Sonic cares for Amy probably on the same grounds as he cares for Elise. The whole Sonic/Elise thing was, for the most part, one-sided. Elise may have loved Sonic but nobody said Sonic returned that love. He may have seen her as nothing more than a good friend. After all, friends care about their friends don't they? SPECULATION KIDDIES.

Speaking of which, Sonic and Elise FORGET each other at the end of the game because the events of the game WERE ERASED meaning that Sonic and Elise NEVER met in the end. Complicated I know but here is the evidence: [link] and [link] - looks like Elise ISN'T going to appear in another game after this one. If she does... I'll most certainly be surprised. She appears to be a one-time character. So your precious SonAmy could still happen.

Mina? She's with Ash now. Get with the times. She may have had feelings for Sonic but she's chosen Ash apparently. And even if she did choose Sonic, what's wrong with her having feelings for him anyway?

Fiona? She was only put there to test Sonic and Tails' friendship, and if that's the case, there's always the chance they'll break up soon.

SonAmy haters; aren't they allowed opinions anymore? Can't you judge people by something other than their opinions, like their PERSONALITY? Some SonAmy fans have haters for friends and that's because they're not as shallow as to judge somebody by their opinion on a cartoon couple only. Why do most SonAmy fans flame SonAmy haters and insist on only having SonAmy fans as friends? It's VERY shallow and VERY judgemental. D:< How about looking at somebody's personality? Opinions aren't everything you know, and SonAmy most CERTAINLY isn't everything.

It's a couple involving two video game characters which do not exist in the real world. It's okay to LIKE the couple but to bash any character who you believe is a "threat" to SonAmy and flaming people who disagree with your opinion takes it WAY too far.

If you hate/harass SonAmy haters, you may be a purist. If you bash Sally, Blaze, Elise or any other character for bad reasons such as "interferance", you might be a purist. Purists destroy the SonAmy fandom. People are now turning away from SonAmy and mature SonAmy fans are hard to come by since the fandom is so overrun with n00bs and fanbrats whining, bashing and drawing kill art of Sally Acorn. And no, they're not going to come around to YOUR way of thinking; you're the problem. You turned them away. You're the ones with the problem, not them.

Sort it. Grow up. Realize that SonAmy isn't the essence of everything. Maybe then the SonAmy fandom might become a nice respectful place again without there being mindless n00bs running around ruining it for everybody else. People who like SonAmy are now being stereotyped as n00bs because of how n00bish people are. You're putting a VERY bad name on us and if you do come under the definition of a SonAmy purist, grow up and stop being a disgrace to the SonAmy fandom. If you're NOT a purist, thank god there are people like you in the SonAmy fandom.

There is a life outside of SonAmy. Like it if you want, but stop putting a bad label on the fandom.
